Nella mente c' è ancora la gara sfumata di ieri e la voglia di riscatto è enorme. Quindi ho dato il mio massimo. Il trofeo prevedeva uno schieramento unico in griglia di partenza con tutte le moto di cilindrata da 600 a 1200 cc, per poi a fine gara fare le classifiche separate. Nelle qualificazione riesco a ottenere un secondo posto assoluto dietro a una ducati 1098. Lo scatto al via è buono ma vengo infilato alla prima curva dal pilota partito in terza posizione, ma questa è la mia giornata, mi sento load and go on the attack. Momento di panico! Alzo il braccio sinistro e mi faccio superare poi con la mano sinistra stacco la destra dal manubrio e la riapro, tento nuovamente di appoggiarla sul manubrio ma appena prendo il gas in mano si blocca. Gara sfumata e arrabbiatura per un simile inconveniente che mi costringe al ritiro dopo un solo giro. A mente fredda trovo la causa del problema: evidentemente l'allenamento in palestra fatto nelle due settimane precedenti è stato troppo intenso e ho affaticato i muscoli delle braccia. La giornata è ormai andata e vedremo di fare del nostro meglio domani.

Ed è proprio su questo contrasto che si è svolta tutta la giornata con vari alti a bassi per poi concludere a fine giornata con un best lap in 1'41".

E' una cosa assolutamente frustrante. Vedere l'enorme lavoro fatto per essere qui pronti a gareggiare e non poterlo fare. Purtroppo le mie fratture hanno iniziato a saldarsi ma il braccio polso e mano destra non hanno più del 50% della loro mobilità, condizione assolutamente insufficiende per condurr una gara.
E' stata una decisione molto sofferta, io e Marco ne abbiamo discusso per un paio d'ore stasera, avevamo già tutto pronto per la trasferta per la gara ungherese di Pannoniaring, ma proprio perchè la trasferta è cosi lontana era necessario valutare attentamente la situazione.

Il feeling con la moto è stato da subito buono, non abbiamo fatto regolazioni radicali alle sospensioni ( in fondo era la prima volta che provavo la moto), l'elemento che richiede un po' per potersi abituare is the fact of having to crank the engine at very high: in fact the ideal range of use ranges from 12,000 rpm to 17,500 rpm, a very different range than the suzuki gsxr I used last year that gave the best of 9,000 rpm to 13,500 rpm
